British Racing Driver Gracie Mitchell to Attempt Solo 24-Hour Karting World Record — A First for Women in Motorsport

Rising British motorsport star Gracie Mitchell is set to make history as she prepares to become the first female driver to attempt the world record for the longest distance travelled in a 24-hour outdoor kart race – solo.

Driven by a fierce passion for racing and a mission to inspire the next generation of women in motorsport, Gracie’s world record attempt is more than just a personal milestone — it’s a powerful statement of determination, endurance, and representation.

“After Chris Pedlingham set the overall distance record at my local circuit in 2024, I became curious to know if a woman had ever attempted something similar,” Gracie explains. “It turns out, no female driver has ever taken on this challenge — individually or as part of a team — and that inspired me to be the first. My goal is not only to set the record for a female driver but to challenge the overall distance as well.”

The 24-hour solo endurance challenge will push Gracie to her physical and mental limits, demonstrating elite stamina, skill, and resilience behind the wheel. In addition to breaking records, Gracie is using this opportunity to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, raising awareness and support for a meaningful cause close to her heart.
