Pretty crazy to think this was from February this year - first time in a Porsche around a track (not mine obvs) and 6 months later I've had multiple podiums and a win in my lovely pink one.

Bit of a Throwback Thursday this morning because I can't believe it's almost a year since the I achieved the 24 hour karting world record for being the first female to complete an event solo.
This time last year is was in some intense training knowing I had 24 hours in the kart by myself, obviously with my amazing family and friends around me for support. We were frantically finding as many GoPros as we could find to document everything, buying all the batteries in the world to keep them powered, and focusing on the goal of being the only female in history to compete a competitive 24 hour karting event solo, which I'm so proud to have achieved. I didn't get the total laps solo record, but to be the only woman to ever do this is still very special.

A lot can happen in a year...

After an unforgettable weekend at the Le Mans 24 Hour Karting race with Teesside Motorsports, I look back on racing through the night, an unprecedented eight-hour weather stoppage, battling through the field at sunrise, and helping the team secure a great finish in the Pro class.

We’re the way back from Le Mans now and it was such a good event. 🤟

The race was great, so much fun (despite the heat.) We had the 8 hour break in the middle for the weather warnings, but had a really strong start with Jacob leading off.

My 6am run was really strong, and probably the strongest points were getting through the pack, taking 4 or 5 people per lap, and coming away with 5th in class overall and it was so much fun!

We’re on the way home now, and overall it was brilliant, quite challenging with the heat but fortunately my 3 stints landed on the cooler parts of the evening and early hours.

Huge than you to everyone at LE Mans and @teessidekarting
