Motorsport has always been seen as a male-dominated world, but drivers like Gracie are proving that talent, determination, and passion know no gender.
Competing at high levels in both the UK and internationally, Gracie is one of the few women in her field, and while that sometimes surprises people, she’s more than ready to change the narrative.

“I’m proud to be one of the minority females in motorsport. Someone has to break the barriers—why not me?”
“Wait, You Race Cars?”
Even now, when people find out Gracie is a racing driver, their first reaction is often shock.
“People don’t think I can race cars!” she laughs. “I’ll tell someone what I do, and they’re like, ‘How are you allowed to do that?’ It’s like they don’t realise anyone can race if they want to!”
In her racing class, there are around 16 or 17 drivers, but only one other girl. In Portugal, when she competed in the Iberian Supercar Series, she only saw one other female driver on the entire grid. With 27 cars and most having two drivers, the numbers speak for themselves—there’s still a long way to go in terms of female representation in motorsport.
But for Gracie, standing out is just part of the journey.
“I’m proud to be where I’m from,” she says. “And I’m proud to be one of the minority females in motorsport. Someone has to break the barriers—why not me?”
Navigating the Challenges
One of the unique aspects of endurance racing is that drivers are often paired with random teammates—unless they enter the race together with sponsorship backing.
“Going into a weekend, I might not even know who my teammate is,” Gracie explains. “You just get assigned someone. It’s a totally different challenge because you’re sharing a car and you have to trust each other completely.”
Despite being one of the few women in these competitions, Gracie isn’t looking for special treatment—she’s looking for equal recognition for equal talent. And with every lap, every overtake, and every podium finish, she’s proving that she belongs on the track just as much as anyone else.
Paving the Way for the Future
With motorsport initiatives like the F1 Academy aiming to encourage more women into racing, there’s hope that the future will look different for the next generation of female drivers. But for now, Gracie is focused on making her own mark, one race at a time.
“It’s not something you hear about every day, but that’s exactly why I want to keep pushing forward. The more women we see in motorsport, the more normal it will become!”
She’s already breaking barriers—now it’s about smashing through them completely.
