She was shocked to come away with her first ever podium finish: P3 in Race 2
“It was such a surprise,” Gracie remembers. “It was my first weekend in the Ginetta, and I had no idea I’d made the podium. I got out of the car, and was just taking my helmet off, and the woman who hands out the hats came up to me. She said, ‘I’ve got this for you,’ and gave me a Pirelli podium hat. I couldn’t believe it!”
The podium moment was made even more special by the presence of her team and family. “In parc fermé, my dad and the team were there on the other side of the fence. It was just such a nice moment to share with them,” she says.
The 2024 season was full of milestones for Gracie, but this podium gave her a confidence boost early in the year. “It all happened so quickly,” she says. “Within two weeks, I’d gone from testing the car to racing it. It was by far the biggest and fastest car I’d driven, and it instantly became my favourite.”
