Gracie has officially touched down in Portugal for the first round of the Iberian Supercar Endurance Series 2025, held at the legendary Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão. She has barely had time to catch her breath after a whirlwind few weeks turning 18 and then launching into official test days—but she’s race-ready and raring to go.
Over the past week alone, Gracie’s been working trackside with Teesside Karting at an event from Friday to Sunday, returned to college Monday and Tuesday, and jetted off to Portugal on Wednesday. With barely enough time to pack, she’s now soaking up the Portuguese sun (we hope)—and gearing up for her first race weekend of the season.
“It’s a brand new track for me,” Gracie said. “Apparently it’s really hilly and up and down, so we’ve been practicing loads on the simulator. The games are scanned from real tracks so it’s the closest thing you can get to being there!”
The weekend schedule is intense. Friday is for testing, giving Gracie and her teammate Luca Staccini a chance to get up to speed with their Ginetta G55 GTX. if you haven’t laid eyes on the Ginetta yet, check out our blog post from last week where we revealed the sleek design! Saturday is qualifying day, where each driver will do one session to determine the starting position for Race 1. Then on Sunday, it’s go time—two races with a driver change halfway through each.
This is Gracie’s first time competing at Portimão, and the grid is expected to be huge, with between 40 and 50 cars on track.
“Usually 20 to 25 cars is a big grid, so this will be absolutely packed!” she said. “There are going to be loads of different classes too, so it’ll be chaotic—but fun!”
Gracie wrote on Instagram: Ready to go for the @supercarsendurance season opener with my @bellhelmets 🪖🇵🇹 Wish me luck 🤞🏼
Gracie’s mum is accompanying her for this round, and although her dad is gutted to miss it, he’ll be cheering her on from home.
With her first full-season car championship underway, it’s a huge milestone in Gracie’s racing journey—and one to watch closely.
