For Gracie Mitchell, Donington Park is more than just a racetrack—it’s a home away from home. Just 20 minutes from her college, the iconic British circuit has been a special place in her racing career so far.

“It’s my favourite car track,” Gracie said. “For me, my favourite is always going to be where I raced the Ginetta. I’ve done most of my racing or testing there, and the layout is just incredible. It’s so fast and flowing, with corners like Craner Curves where you’re going flat out at 130mph in 5th gear. It’s quite scary, especially with the drop where the car gets loose, but that’s what makes it amazing.”
Donington isn’t just close to her college, it’s also a pivotal part of her racing story. Gracie has competed in multiple championships at the track, including rounds of the Ginetta GT Championship and Citroën C1 Endurance Series.
“I’ve driven a lot around there—it’s my comfort car track,” she says. “It’s got such a mix of corners, from the fast-flowing sections to the tight Melbourne Hairpin. Hopefully, I’ll get to race there again next year, with the Fun Cup or Ginetta Championship.”
As Gracie continues to build her career, Donington remains a constant—a track that challenges her skills, pushes her limits, and feels like home.
